NEWSLETTER

The season of Fall is here! The leaves are turning their beautiful colors and starting to fall. The children will be using their leaves and stories about leaves falling in their group times in their classrooms!

The themes for October will be:” Fire safety, Autumn” and “Harvest.” The children were so excited to see the Sunnyvale Fire Fighters come with the Fire Trucks to visit and teach us about fire safety!!! All the children were able to see and touch the whole geared firefighter! They said he looked like a robot! Thank you, Firefighters, you are real hero to us!

October 6 will be Parent/Teacher conferences. The Blue, Red and Yellow Rooms have sign in sheets posted for your opportunity to speak one-on-one with your child’s teacher.

This month, we will have two field trips for Red and Yellow Room: going to the pumpkin Patch and neighborhood foliate-watch. Permission slips will be available around two weeks before the day. Parent chaperones’ sign-up sheet will be posted at the same time.

We hope that all of our families will be able to attend our annual costume parade and potluck on Tuesday, October 31, from 5:00pm– 6:30pm. Please be aware that we will not be having our families move their cars until 6:00 at the earliest. We are sorry for the inconvenience of parking. Generally, our parents are very cooperative; and we appreciate this more than we can say, “Thank you!”

Welcome Aya, Nolan, Minna to the Rainbow Room. When the teacher puts Harper in the cradle, Lily and Zoe go to the cradle and gently swing the cradle. Lily sees Zoe touching Harper's hair and cheek, and she does the same. Lily and Zoe used to sit together and take their shoes off and learn to put them back on, but they almost succeeded.

Harper was able to roll over to her left and right, and when the teacher handed her the toy, Harper would reach out and take it.

Astrid can stand up on her own, hold the edge of the table, and walk around it. Sometimes Astrid would stand up all by herself without holding anything Proudly, only to find that there was nothing around for her to hold on to walk, and she would burst into tears.

When Benjamin is outdoors, Benjamin likes to play with a ball. He kicks the ball with one foot and the ball rolls forward. Benjamin catches up a few steps and kicks the ball out with one foot again.

JULY

Everyone knows the color purple and the diamond shape so proud of everyone, great hard-working friends! We learned things that are green, purple and orange. We began counting our fingers and will continue throughout August. July was a long month with Americas birthday!! We started off with water play days because the weather was so hot. It was such fun in the water slide and pool. We enjoyed squirts and bubbles and buckets of fun. We had a blast during our red, white and blue parade we enjoyed the trumpets and marching around our play yard. We had a great time with our teddy’s and a super fun hot picnic outside. We also had some potty trainers who have accomplished these life skills! Your child should be wiping well after 2 yrs.5 months, reminders parents are your child first teachers wiping begins at home for success! Please no “pull up” we find that they are confusing for children to pee or not to pee??? Making training much harder and longer for performance. However, they are good for eye hand coordination learning to pull up and down. We made tents with our blankets and enjoyed time reading in a real tent with lots of smiles, giggles and some serious faces we enjoyed s’mores without chocolate!

Reminders:” sunscreen” please apply in am we apply in pm same as water bottles please fill am we fill pm ,also please label all belongs hats, jackets, clothing, blankets, lunch supplies. The children all have same to similar things.
